3pm, Tri-Service General Hospital, Taipei, Taiwan
Everyone was anxious to see you.
Dr. Liu told me to get into the ultrasound room as soon as I reported to his office as if he had been waiting for me. While I was climbing onto the table, your dad got his camera ready on "record", grandma quietly inched closer to the monitor, and Dr. Liu left a patient in his office.
This was a visit we'd all been waiting for. Though it was never brought up, everyone had feared that this would turn out to be a tubal pregnancy, given my medical history. I was nervous when we couldn't really see you at first. When you appeared on the monitor, however, everyone let out a sigh of relief (and amazement).

Little Peanut (on the left) is currently 0.508 cm (5.08mm) long.
The bright circle on the right is the yolk sac.
I couldn't see your heart beat, but your dad did.
I'm so proud of you! Against all odds, you made it all the way to the uterus.

I'm not usually a "Praise the Lord" kind of person, but... Praise the Lord! I'm so happy for you guys as I'm sure this eases so much concern.
Kate, this blog is absolutely beautiful. I love the way you have formatted it as a letter to your little angel. This will be priceless for him/her.
I'm always the one that says Praise the Lord, so Priase the Lord!
Thanks for sharing Little Peanut's first picture with us. Thanks also for the color picture b/c w/o it I wouldn't know what I was looking at.
You and me both, Maddy.
