Cool Baby Kai
We took you to get your second Hepatitis B shot this afternoon, and you were such a good baby! I mean, some of the other babies started crying and fussing the instant they were put on the weight scale, but you were relaxed and confident, like, "This is cool. I've done this before."
You've gained 500 grams and grew 2 centimeters in the last two weeks.
You made the funniest face when the doctor took the tongue presser out of your mouth! Guess it didn't taste too good, huh?!
Daddy held you when you got the shot (mommy was a wimp). We didn't know it'd be such a BIG shot, and the nurse was just stone-cold with absolutely no bedside manner whatsoever. She didn't even say hi to you! You cried when you got the shot, but it was more out of shock than anything. Mommy nursed you a bit afterward and you were your happy self again. You were such a cool baby; mommy and daddy are so proud of you!
Your next vaccination is the DTaP-Diphtheria and tetanus toxoid with acellular pertussis vaccine, recommended for anytime after November 25th.

Have you heard the story of Renee's one year shots? She had a shot in each leg (done at the same time), and she laughed! She laughed when they stuck her, but then cried when they put the vaccine in. I couldn't believe it....it was pretty funny. ;-)
