Reason #452 that We Need to Get Outta Here
Bill woke up in the middle of the night with a baby's foot in his mouth. And he dipped his face into nice and smelly spit-up that was on one of the corners of his pillow case. This "everybody sleeps in the same bed" arrangement has got to change, SOON, or no one's sleeping through the night.

Moving on....
We're booked for July 15th from Taipei to Vancouver on two airlines, and we have to pay by the last day of May. Tickets prices are R.I.D.I.C.U.L.O.U.S.L.Y. high this year, but we just had to bite the bullet.
Why Vancouver? Because it was impossible to find a flight from Taipei to Portland, even with two transfer spots on the way there and back. The travel agent told us that tickets to North America are sold out from April to the beginning of October. It's hard to believe the Taiwan economy is bad with so many people still traveling/going to school in Canada and the US.
7 more weeks, baby!

Edited to add:
We are booked in two airlines because the destinations are different. One is TPE-YVR-TPE with China Airline; the other is TPE-SEA-TPE with EVA Air. We're spending over three grand on the tickets alone, and THAT's how ridiculously expensive they are.

Now... how freaked out are you about flying long distance with Kai? Not to make you worry more than you have, just thought I'd ask and will send you tips and things that worked for us. Happy packing!
Lin, I haven't had time to freak out about flying with a (then-will-be) 10-month-old cause we're not only packing for the trip, we're also packing to move out of this apartment. Yup! That's how we like it: ALL OR NOTHING (Us Geminis are extreme).
But do share your tips, please.
The trip is getting closer! The expense is outrageous but you will have such a wonderful trip! Have fun!
