The Lexicon of This 15-month-old

Hi, Bye, Daddy, Mommy, doggy, puppy, kitty, toy, car, towel, brush, apple, nana (banana), coffee, kaka (cracker), cookie, cheese (both as food and in front of the camera), chee (cheers), num-num (hungry), Nani (Natti), Jodi (Jordy), Toto (Totoro), nice, go, hot, bath, wawa (water), down, doh (door), ball, no, mine, e-or (Eeyore), boon (spoon), boobie (sometimes beeboo), bebe (belly button), nose, ear, feet, shoo (shoes), papa, night-night, boo (book), and bum.

44 frequently-used everyday words at 15 months!! The scary thing is that he's been a parrot over the last few days, repeating almost everything I said. And his production of Chinese words has been catching up as well.

Vocabulary explosion is supposed to occur around 18 months of age. I wonder if Kai's experiencing it right now and what's gonna happen then when he is 18 months old?!

Fun!!! You just wait. It'll be overnight, he'll be saying words you never knew he could, and he'll be putting 2, 3, and 4 words TOGETHER! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this stage!!!! I hope you keep up on the Chinese, I'm sure it'll do nothing but benefit him down the road. ;-)
