The House of Raging Hormones

It is said that a two-year-old experiences the same, if not more, raging hormones as an adolescent. That's why they're so moody, unpredictable, and maddening. It's like clock work for us. Right after we celebrated his second birthday, the toddler plunged into the well-known, less-understood "Terrible Two" period, in which he has had a full-on, whole-body-thrashing meltdown at least once a day.
Lisa warned me about this but, like many other things in parenthood, you never fully understand until you're in the crisis.
The terrible two tamper tantrum is... eye-opening and... a true test of patience and self-control. While I understand intellectually why it happens, emotionally it's so hard to distant myself from taking the rejection to hugs and all those angry "No Mommy"s personally.
Physically... I sometimes feel like I'm stretched so thin that I may just collapse. I am, also, experiencing unpredictable mood swings due to changing hormones.
Poor Bill is stuck in the house of raging hormones.

It's all par for the course of having a family babe. We just take it one day at a time and remember to keep talking - right?
