At the end of our blueberry picking trip Me: "So I'll go feed her in the car. You can go pay with Kai, right?" Bill: "Did you hear that, Kai? Mommy said you have to pay." Kai (sarcastically): "Ha ha, mommy. I'm not gonna pay." In the backyard getting ready for the BBQ party Me: "What are you doing, Kai?" Kai: "I just gotta go get my cars for the barbecue." Me: "You're gonna barbecue your cars?" Kai (there was that sarcastic laugh again): "Haha, mommy. No! I'm not gonna barbecue my cars. You can't barbecue cars. I know that."
