Chocolate is Good

A colleague of mine posted this clip on Facebook a while ago.

What happened was that one day, she came down to the dining room and found her husband giving their son chocolate cookies for breakfast. She described herself exactly like how Bill Cosby described his wife in this clip.

Last Saturday at another colleague's "Isn't it Spring" barbecue party, we met the guilty dad R. There were 5 adults and a 2-and-a-half-year-old in the room. Among the 5 adults, my colleague C and I were the only moms. C said, "So yeah, apparently chocolate cookies are nutritious breakfast items in dads' minds." All the dads, including Bill, looked at one another with this confused look on their faces mumbling, "What's wrong with chocolate cookies?" C and I shook our heads, and I asked, "Why would anyone give their kid chocolate cookies for breakfast?"

The 2-and-a-half-year-old who had been looking around the room and dangling his feet on a Director's chair loudly replied, "Because chalkwet is YUMMY!"

Everyone laughed. All the dads then looked my way with a "I rest my case" smirk. I looked at the toddler in disbelief with my jaw down to my chest.

Bill shrugged, "That's our son, and he's right."
