A 2-year-old's mind

Things I've hearing a lot these days:

1. I wanna watch Cars, Toy Story, Panda, Dora, Nemo, and Elmo. Mommy you wanna turn the TV on?

2. I want some pears. No! How 'bout some mango and strawberries and blueberries and banaaaanaaaa?

3. I wanna do the puzzles. No! Mommy do the puzzles. Here, I'll show you.

4. I wanna build a house (with blocks) for McQueen. Mommy, you wanna play with Kaikai? Let's do it together.

5. I no have a poopy diaper. Baby sister (sometimes he also says Mommy) have a poopy diaper.

6. Baby sister's hungry. He's eating Mommy's boob. Kaikai wanna eat Mommy too.

7. (brushing teeth)
I wanna squeeze the toothpaste out. I wanna open it. No, mommy no holding it. (after failing at taking off the cap) Mommy you wanna help Kai open the toothpaste? Yank you (thank you)!

Yesterday morning I saw our bedroom door and Kai's bedroom door were both open, so I asked Bill if Kai had come into our room (as he often does). Bill got up to check up on Kai. When he walked into Kai's room, Bill saw him playing with my iPhone in his bed. Busted, the toddler said, "I take a picture of Daddy!" as if that was the reason (excuse) he had my phone in his hands.

Teacher's report

Today at snack time Kai had on a firefighter hat. When his teacher offered him more food, "Would you like some more, Kai?", the toddler replied, "I'm not Kai. I'm a firefighter."

A new song Kai made about putting his cars into the big car transporter (to the tune of "The Wheels on the Bus):

Put all the cars in the truck
In the truck
In the truck
Put all the cars in the truck
To Radiator Springs
